A schematic diagram of the conections of the ILab setup. The IV measurements of the diodes and transistors are made by the parameter analyser. The CV measurements of the diodes are made with the LCR-meter. The measuring instruments and the devices under test are connected through the switch.

The transient measurement is made with the setup below. The function generator generates voltage over the diode. The resistor (R2) is 50 Ohm, it is needed because the output of the generator is not calibrated unless it is connected to a 50 Ohm resistance, the impedance of the diode is negligible. R1 is a large resistance to create current through the diode.
